Setting up My Yahoo as an RSS Reader

Setting up My Yahoo as an RSS Reader

There are 2 steps to getting Your Newsletter Via RSS Feed.
1st Get the link that you will need to paste into My Yahoo.
To do that fill out this form - RSS Link Form

Once you fill in your name and e-mail click 'Go'.
You will be taken to a screen with a link that is similar to

Copy this code to Note Pad or any 'Text Editor',
Do Not Use 'Word'.
Now for the next step.

For the 2nd Step of course you need to set up a My Yahoo account at
http://www.yahoo.com/

Click the 'My Yahoo' button and sign-up.
You can customize this in Hundreds of ways as a Personal Home Page, but for our purposes look on the left under the search bar for + Add Content and of course, Click it.

In the window that then opens, look on the right, it's not well highlighted.
Find the highlighted link 'Add RSS by URL' and of course Click That.

In the window that opens will be a place to 'Paste' or type the 'Feed URL' which you received when you requested

'The DoubleSundog Newsletter' RSS Version, a sample of which is below.

The page also has very good instructions for the rest of the process.

Once you have set up your 'My Yahoo' you can set the 'Reader' in the middle and it will post a notice whenever your latest Issue of 'The DoubleSundog Newsletter' is ready.
This can be anywhere from 3 Days to 2 Weeks, but generally will be about 10 Days.

This eliminates the problem of ISP Mail programs filtering items you want into the Bulk or Junk Basket.

Similar processes can be used to set up Google, MSN, etc as RSS News Aggregators (Readers).
